What a shot.
This year’s snooker World Championship is almost at the half-way point, but it will take something special to beat this from Shaun Murphy for the tournament’s best shot.
Murphy is trailing Ronnie O’Sullivan 6-2 from the first session of their last-16 tie in Sheffield on Thursday night, but managed to pull this exhibition shot off in the fifth frame.
Early in the frame, a red was on the edge of the middle pocket, but the 2005 world champion was unable to directly hit it. So, he played the cue ball off three cushions, came back up the table and pot the red.
Brilliant.
O’Sullivan, the five-time world champion, would be proud of this.
