“Eat your greens” is about as far as many parents get when it comes to the battle over healthy eating with kids.
But not Tito Oritz. As the former UFC champ prepares to face Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170, he’s revealed he takes his kids’ diet and exercise regimes as seriously as his own.
Speaking ahead of the January 21 bout, the 41-year-old, who is the father of three young boys, gave an insight into the more personal side of his life, including his love of fishing.
He said:
“I am a fisherman at heart and my kids come first, on all measures. They eat clean, they don’t drink soda, they don’t have fast food. My kids eat like pro athletes.
“And I am instilling this in their mind now, I am instilling power in their mind now. They do 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 25 pull-ups every night, seven days a week.”

And his parenting style seems to be paying off as he recently showed in an Instagram post.

The young Ortizes already look like they’ll be cut from their father’s impressive mould.
