The Newcastle team will pay tribute to former goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek by wearing T-shirts bearing the message ‘Pavel is a Geordie’ ahead of their game against Arsenal.
The former Czech Republic international tragically passed away earlier this week and is regarded as a club legend on Tyneside after two spells at St. James’ Park.
He went on to pen the autobiography ‘Pavel is a Geordie’ during retirement, which detailed his love for the Magpies.
So ahead of their game at the Emirates Stadium, the Newcastle players will wear T-shirts with that famous text and an image of an icon in the north east. RIP.
