Good Kevin!
Manchester City have wasted in no time in taking advantage of their Financial Fair Play shackles having been removed from last season.
So far they’ve splashed around £70m on Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph and Fulham teenager Patrick Roberts.
That could now rocket to £130m as the Citizens look likely to sign £60m-man Kevin de Bruyne from Wolfsburg, so say the Mirror.
Zlatanchester
Despite the fact that Louis van Gaal played down talk of a ‘mystery’ striker joining Manchester United any time soon, it’s not stopped the fanciful rumours.
Perhaps most outlandish of all was the suggestion that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the surprise forward heading for Old Trafford.
Zlatan’s done little to douse the rumours. He riddled Sky Italia with the cryptic quote: “Should I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola.”
Pedro a-go-go
A far more likely and sensible (if less fantastical) addition to United’s ranks is Barcelona’s wantaway winger Pedro.
The Telegraph report that the bench-warming Barca man is keen on a move to the Granada region (as in Granada TV, not Andalusia).
What’s more Nou Camp boss Luis Enrique has admitted he is powerless to stop the rapid forward from upping sticks.
