Gary Neville’s managerial adventure in Spain isn’t going as well as he would have hoped.
After struggling to change the fortunes of Valencia in La Liga, he took his side to the Nou Camp for a Copa Del Rey semi-final first leg fixture against the all-conquering Barcelona side.
Unfortunately for Neville, Barca were on top form, and, thanks to a brace from Luis Suarez and one from Lionel Messi, were three goals to the good inside the first half hour.
To compound Neville’s first half misery, Shkodran Mustafi was sent off in stoppage time after a foul inside his own area. Neymar hit the post with the resulting penalty.
