Manchester City will have to overcome the most successful club in European history if they are to reach this year’s Champions League Final in Milan.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men were paired with Real Madrid in their first ever semi-final in the competition, with soon-to-be manager Pep Guardiola taking on Atletico Madrid with Bayern Munich.
But despite Real’s grand European history, many felt that City had actually just landed themselves the best possible draw.
Best possible draw for City, with all due respect to Real Madrid

City will want to exploit the weakness of Real Madrid (the least solid of the 4 teams). At Madrid and Bayern, opposite styles #fascinating

GET IN! We'll beat Real Madrid. I'm telling you.

Best possible draw for Manchester City .. v Real Madrid. Of course there's Ronaldo factor but I say City will get thro' to final with Bayern

And speaking of the ‘Ronaldo factor’, plenty of City supporters were bullish about facing the man who made his name down the road at Old Trafford.
Can't wait for Joe to save a Ronaldo penalty now too.

I would play Otamendi and Kompany in CB, simply because Otamendi has kept ronaldo quiet time to time and ronaldo might have a mental block

But despite such confidence from City supporters, others (mainly Manchester United fans) were tipping Ronaldo to bring Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s European adventure to an end.
Ronaldo needs to channel his inner Manc and dismantle City for the culture.

Ronaldo is going to knock Man City out, and he’s going to absolutely love it. They’re the type of games he craves.
