Tyson Fury isn’t one to mince his words, and the heavyweight boxing champion has taken aim at mixed martial artists for the second time in his career.
Speaking on The MMA Hour, Fury said “I think MMA is for people who can’t box, basically” – reiterating comments he first made in 2013.
It seems the rise of the likes of Conor McGregor in the meantime haven’t changed Fury’s views, even if he is insistent that “I don’t disrespect what anybody does”,

Fury, who is set for a rematch against Wladimir Klitschko in 2016, has repeatedly claimed his favourite elements of MMA are those which most closely resemble boxing.
“The best part of MMA to me is when they’re standing up kicking each other and punching each other. Stand-up combat, you see,” he explained.
“I’m not really interested in a 100 percent MMA fight because obviously, they’re not going to stand up and bang with the heavyweight champion of the world, are they? They just want to take me to the floor.
