‘I’ll be the first one to join up if England get involved’
Tyson Fury has said that he would join up with the armed forces if the United Kingdom become involved in the ongoing war in Ukraine against Russia.
Fury was speaking during his press conference ahead of his upcoming fight against Dillian Whyte, where he was asked about his thoughts on the Russian invasion.
Without hesitation, the ‘Gypsy King’ said that he would get involved, as would the rest of the Fury family, should the UK chose to send troops to the East of Europe.
“I’ll be the first one to join up if England get involved. Or America. I’ll be first in line for the job,” he said.
“My dad will as well, and all the boys. We’ll all be signing up to defend. So that’s all I’ve got to say. I think if you’re from that country and living there, defend her.
“Love your woman and fight for your country. That’s what I say.”

Fury’s comments come after former Ukrainian boxers Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, Oleksandr Usyk and Vasiliy Lomachenko have all taken up arms and have been spotted in Kyiv as they help to fight for their homeland.

Vitali, who has also been the mayor of Kyiv since 2014 , said: “I believe in Ukraine, I believe in my country and I believe in my people. I will be fighting. I don’t have another choice. I have to do that.”

It’s also been reported that the Klitschko brothers are both on a 23-man ‘kill list’ created by Russian president Vladimir Putin – with 400 highly-trained Russian mercenaries sent to Kyiv to assassinate the people named on the list.
