It’s confirmed.
Tyson Fury *will* fight Wladimir Klitschko in Manchester on July 9, capping an already mouth-watering weekend of sport.
Having told you on Friday morning that the fight was set to be held in Fury’s home city, it’s since been confirmed that the fight will take place at the Manchester Arena, dispelling any faint hopes of the fight taking place at Old Trafford – Fury’s preferred venue for the fight.
The fight will also be screened on BoxNation, with Frank Warren’s company securing a major coup just days after out-bidding Sky for Amir Khan’s fight with Mexican Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas on May 7.
The confirmation of the fight follows months of negotiations after Klitschko’s points defeat to Fury in Dusseldorf last November.
