Football fans are a resourceful bunch, but not when it comes to how they plan on spending their money during an international football tournament.
The list of priorities usually reads like this: 1) Match ticket, 2) travel costs, 3) food and drink, 4) accommodation.
As we’ve all seen before, football fans are more than happy to be creative by sleeping in camper vans/trains/the nearest floor and even more random places, and Euro ’16 will be no different.
Here are some of the *average* prices French hotels are charging on match-days (dark blue) compared to the 14 days prior to the match (sky blue).
This infographic originally appeared in Le Parisien and it’s certainly eye-opening. Time to put the deposit down on that campervan.
