It comes as England prepares to take on Germany in the Women’s EURO 2022 final on Sunday
The Lionesses will take on the Germans in the women’s EURO 2022 final on Sunday.
England reached their first major women’s tournament final since 2009 in stunning fashion as they put four past Olympic finalists Sweden in Sheffield on Tuesday.
Goals from Beth Mead, Lucy Bronze and Fran Kirby contributed to the impressive 4-0 victory, but it was a back-heeled goal from Alessia Russo that really got people talking.
The Manchester United star was credited with the ‘goal of the year’ after the audacious trick put England three up.
Ian Wright dubbed the striker ‘Lessi’ after her stunning cameo, with others describing the goal as “utterly ridiculous”.

The US Embassy in London tweeted their support for the Lionesses in Sunday’s final with a hilarious video posted on social media.
In it, a diplomat ripped up a memorandum that ordered him not to support England in the Euro finals.
He then back-heeled it into a bin through his colleague’s legs.
Watch the impressive move below:
Oh, the cheek from our own office Russo! This is no time for diplomacy. Let’s go, @Lionesses
