Victim of “Who the fook is that guy?” finally has a comeback for Conor McGregor

He's dragged McGregor's mother into it

Just the 359 days late.

It’s been almost a year since Conor McGregor uttered arguably the most cutting put-down of his storied career as the pound-for-pound king of combat sports trash talk.

Many a man has has fallen victim to the Irishman’s matchless ability to shit talk, a knack which seemingly comes naturally to ‘The Notorious’.

McGregor is no stranger to doing his research on his opponents ahead of press conferences so that he has the requisite ammunition once he gets a microphone in his hand.

But his riposte to UFC featherweight Jeremy Stephens last year was so beautifully blunt, so stunningly spontaneous and so delightfully dismissive that it will go down in history.

“Who the fuck is that guy?” McGregor asked when Stephens suggested he was the most difficult fight for the outspoken Dubliner.

It’s inspired incredible remixes.

And has even been adopted by world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Almost a year to the day since those devastating six words were delivered by McGregor, Stephens has a comeback for the reigning UFC lightweight champion.

On Thursday night, ‘Lil Heathen’ got personal with McGregor as he posted a picture of himself with McGregor’s mum to Twitter with the hashtag “YourMomKnowsWhoDaFook”.

The jibe was appreciated by plenty of Stephens’ followers but the fact that it took so long to respond did not go unnoticed.

Nobody has ever brought his mother into a war of words before so we expect McGregor’s response to the above to be absolutely brutal.

And we don’t think we’ll have to wait a year to hear it either.
