Victor Valdes is a man with a lot of pent up anger.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper spent the best part of a year warming himself on the bench at Manchester United, and that would frustrate anyone.
However that nightmare came to an end in January, and he is now at Standard Liege in Belgium where he is the club’s first choice.
It seems he hasn’t got over his frustration, though, as he lost his head and grabbed an Anderlecht player by the throat in Sunday’s league clash between the sides that ended 3-3.
Valdes squared up to Kara Mbodji after what has been described as an over enthusiastic elbow in the box, and the goalkeeper did not take too kindly to the aggression one little bit.
Both men escaped any sanction and it’s understood they even swapped jerseys after the full time whistle.
The reaction afterwards to the incident was mixed.

Of course Valdes was famously sent off in a Clasico after the game, when he lost the plot with a referee.
