Alan Pardew is not in a good place.
His Crystal Palace side lost 2-1 at home to Liverpool courtesy of a Christian Benteke penalty deep into injury time, despite their player advantage after James Milner was sent off for the visitors.
The defeat means that the Eagles are now 12 Premier League matches without a win and the pressure is very obviously mounting on Mr Pardew, especially judging from his very odd post-match interviews.
First came his needless snapping at Sky’s Geoff Shreeves for a line of questioning that was hardly abrasive or particulary mischievous in any way…

Then there was his bizarre reaction on Match of the Day, in which Pardew took to slurring his words in comedy fashion to express his unhappiness at a correct decision being adjudged correctly… Â
Suuuuuperrrrrr slowwwwwww motionnnnnnnnn…
Is Alan right? Were Palace robbed of a point? #MOTD2 https://t.co/ljkLYF67Ao

The focus of the Palace manager’s chagrin seems to be the penalty award itself. Replays show that decision was indeed correct, but Pardew is unhappy that it was noticed and also by how Benteke fell to the ground.
Many rival fans wonder whether he is experiencing his own ‘cracking up’ moment.
