Conor McGregor has given us a big insight into how his superfight with Rafael Dos Anjos could go down.
Judging by his latest boxing drills on the pads, the Irishman looks like he’s going for the quick knock-out again.
He laid former featherweight champion Jose Aldo out with his big left hand in 13 seconds after the Brazilian came out swinging.
It was a sequence he predicted. He told the world’s media how he was going to spark Aldo out and he was even filmed practising the exact shot it in the changing rooms before the fight at UFC 194.
Given that he called lightweight champion a ‘bum version of Jose Aldo’ it seems like he reckons this fight will go the same way.
RDA is a pressure fighter who likes to come at you and it looks like McGregor is working on a few moves to put him to sleep early.
Looking at his pad work five weeks out, you can see he’s drilling that big left hand counterpunch off the back foot. Even with the jump up in weight he looks pretty sharp with the shot.
McGregor claims he would take RDA in the first round. But could we really see another flash knock-out from the Notorious on March 5?
