The UFC president has spoken.
While there’s plenty of fights to be excited about on the UFC 200 card – the rematch between former bantamweight champion T.J Dillashaw and Raphael Assuncao being the latest intriguing addition – there’s no denying that the event will miss Conor McGregor’s unique box-office appeal.
We’re all familiar with the story about why McGregor’s rematch with Nate Diaz was postponed, but UFC president Dana White has said that any apparent rift with The Notorious is overstated.
Speaking on the Dan Patrick show, White says that he has been speaking with McGregor everyday and that the two men meeting next week to iron out the details regarding McGregor’s next fight.
The UFC president denied any rumours of a McGregor appearance at UFC 200, but UFC 202 in August looks like a strong contender for McGregor’s next match.
Have a listen.
