Retired Olympic athlete Bryan Clay, who claimed decathlon gold at Beijing 2008, has been spending his retirement trying his hand at some amateur dentistry.
Clay’s daughter, Ellie, had a loose tooth that needed to be pulled. But rather than use the hackneyed technique of tying it to a door-knob – like regular non-Olympians – Clay thought of another method that played to his strengths.
He removed his daughter’s tooth by tying it to a javelin and flinging it as if he was competing in an event. Inventive, we have to admit…
