Jeff Bedenik can bloody move for a 37-year-old.
You may not be aware of the handiwork of the Vannes OC goalkeeper but you’re about to become very familiar with him due to an incredible combination of luck and reflexes.
The luck came with the fact that TA Rennes’ designated penalty taker could only hit the post with his spot kick this weekend in the fifth tier of French football.
A greater stroke of good fortune arrived when the rebound bounced up off Bedenik’s noggin and spun into the air.

From then on, it was all skill as Bedenik got a toe to the subsequent header.
Surely TA Rennes weren’t going to squander another opportunity but they did just that when the catlike stopper clawed out the third shot at goal in as many seconds.
He’s not just a shot-stopper, mind. Bedenik’s got a touch of the Manuel Neuers about him too, as we can see here.
