Lionel Messi must surely be running out of ways to amaze us.
The Argentine forward has elevated his game to superhuman levels over the past few years, scoring seemingly at will.
But forget all the Ballon d’Ors and Champions League medals – this is our new favourite Messi moment.
During a routine win over Celta Vigo, the Barca playmaker was taken down in the box and won a penalty. It seemed that Messi was due to score his second goal of the night, until he did this:

That’s right, Messi decide to do what Thierry Henry and Robert Pires failed to so many years ago by running a penalty-time set play.
Rather than shooting the ball he simply passed it to team-mate Luis Suarez to give the Uruguayan his hat-trick.
