Manchester City have won the Capital One Cup on penalties, with Willy Caballero the hero.
The Argentine stood firm to keep out three Liverpool spot-kicks, before Yaya Toure sealed the deal to earn Manuel Pellegrini’s team the first domestic trophy of the season.
No one could have predicted this. Well, no one except Noel Gallagher.
The High Flying Birds frontman admitted before the game that he wasn’t feeling as confident as he might, but loyal City fan Noel still backed Pellegrini’s men to do the job.
And how did he think it would go down?
Penalties, of course, with Yaya scoring the winner.
Not sure the nerves could take that today, @NoelGallagher! #cityatwembley #mcfc pic.twitter.com/2hQYumtYMM
