Roberto Martinez hasn’t had the best of weeks.
Having watched his Everton side miss out on a spot in the League Cup Final, the Spaniard was put firmly in his place by Manuel Pellegrini after complaining that his side were unfortunate that Kevin De Bruyne’s goal was allowed to stand.
Pellegrini claimed that the controversy surrounding De Bruyne’s goal shouldn’t disguise the fact that City had dominated the match and deserved to win.
Soccer Saturday panellist Paul Merson has now had his say on Martinez, claiming that the Everton boss’s ability to not address his team’s poor performances reminded him of something from Men In Black.
