Messi’s ‘pass-penalty‘ against Celta Vigo, eventually dispatched by Luis Suarez, has generated all sorts of reactions, from admiration to condemnation.
But now Cristiano Ronaldo has had his say, and it is being taken as a cryptic dig at his great rival.
The Portuguese was asked about the spot-kick ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Roma.
“I know why Leo has done it,” Ronaldo commented. “But I’m not telling you. Think what you want.”
Many believe the suggestion is Messi set up Suarez to help the Uruguayan top the goalscoring charts ahead of the Real Madrid man…
