What a game…but what a moment.
Events on the pitch during Southampton’s game with Liverpool were eventful enough, but something that happened in the stands at St Mary’s had us creasing ourselves.
The five-goal thriller saw the visitors race into a two-goal lead and maintain that margin until the 64th minute, when the spirited Saints mounted an unlikely comeback to win 3-2.
But it was during the celebrations for Liverpool’s second goal that the real magic happened. Daniel Sturridge was the scorer and expressed his joy in customary fashion with his famous dance.
One young Southampton fan wasn’t impressed at all, and expressed his derision with an angry middle finger in the direction of the ecstatic Scouse huddle.
That was until a gentleman (we assume to be his father) smacked down the offending digit with an embarrassing telling off. Brilliant…
