Doppelgängers or just the same hairstyles?
Switzerland versus Romania – not the most mouth-watering of Euro 2016 offerings if we’re completely honest. But hey, if there’s football on the telly, it’d be rude not to watch it.
And with viewers not paying quite as much attention to the quality of play on show at the Parc des Princes, Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer was drawing plenty of attention.
According to many of those tuning in to coverage of the 1-1 draw in Paris, the Borussia Mönchengladbach stopper bears a resemblance to another man who once starred at a couple of European Championships.
We won’t tell you straight away – here’s another picture. See if you can guess who people were likening him to…
Clarence Seedorf? Don’t be ridiculous.
Cast your minds back to the summers of 2000 and 2004. In both of those years, one of the blokes tasked with scoring the goals for Portugal was Nuno Gomes. Here he is…
The former Benfica, Fiorentina and Blackburn Rovers man is now retired (and definitely not playing in goal for Switzerland), but many took to Twitter during the match to point out the similarities between the two men.
Nice to see Nuno Gomes has reinvented himself, Ă la Madonna, as the Switzerland goal keeper. pic.twitter.com/1npQ0c5Do3

It looks like Nuno Gomes has been involved in some sort of witness relocation program, and he's now the Swiss goalie #bbceuro2016

The match (just in case you care) finished in a 1-1 draw, leaving Switzerland top of the group by a point following their win over Albania over the weekend.
