Harry Kane’s incredible season is showing no signs of slowing down as the striker scored just 80 seconds into his England debut against Lithuania.
There was outrage on Twitter when it was announced that the 21-year-old would start the match on the bench, although Roy Hodgson appeared to be vindicated after Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck both scored in the first half.
However, the clamour for Kane to be included from the start in Tuesday’s friendly against Italy is only going to increase after his first goal for the Three Lions.
