Admit it. You’ve often found yourself lying awake at night wondering what Theo Walcott would look like as an Angry Bird.
Good news, then. Thanks to Everton’s partnership with the Rovio Entertainment video game, Walcott is one of three players who appear to have been made into Angry Birds. Great news.
A tweet from Everton, who agreed a deal for Angry Birds to become their first ever sleeve partner last season, revealed that Walcott – along with teammates Gylfi Sigurdsson and Cenk Tosun – had become the first ever footballers to feature in the game.
Brace yourselves…

Pretty spectacular, we’re sure you agree.
Although this is something that’s almost certainly aimed at younger football fans, it’s certainly managed to spark quite a reaction with older supporters.
Walcott’s involvement is of particular interest. Once regarded as the brightest prospect in English football, some appear amused by the fact he’s now ended up as an Angry Bird…
The life of Theo Walcott
From being the biggest rising star in English football and signing for one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League and going to the world cup at 16, to ending up at Everton and being turned into an angry bird 😂 https://t.co/eZHSMnBl5G

The above-beak positioning of the Walcott bird’s facial hair (birds have facial hair?) has also caused a fair bit of debate.

I'm not on board with this. How can you have the moustache going *over* the beak? Absolute joke. Hope they get relegated now. https://t.co/fhTsFDz4D9

And then there’s the fact that it looks a bit like the general manager of a Slough-based branch of Wernham-Hogg paper merchants…

Modern football, eh? Absolutely fantastic.

Everton have turned Theo Walcott, Cenk Tosun and Gylfi Sigurdsson into Angry Birds characters and it's every bit as bizarre as it sounds… #EFC pic.twitter.com/oVWqhw1sG4

Walcott – the non-Angry Bird version – was on the scoresheet for Everton as they beat his former club Southampton at the weekend. The 29-year-old opened the scoring in the game, helping Marco Silva’s side to a 2-1 victory.
