We don’t know the full details yet, but nevertheless, this isn’t great to see.
After French police used tear gas on English supporters on Thursday night, tensions were high during Friday afternoon in Marseille.
As we told you earlier, police once again used tear gas on English supporters, gathered in the city ahead of their opening match against Russia on Saturday evening.
As the following footage from ITV shows, some supporters, believed to be English football fans, were involved in fighting.

Admittedly, we’ve seen worse through the years, but this is still a worrying sight.
As was the case on Thursday night, it’s being reported that some of the locals have been involved in the ugly scenes throughout Friday afternoon and evening, with the following tweets sounding particularly concerning.

Other video footage suggests that fighting is taking place between English and Russian supporters, with French riot police doing their best to intervene.

Needless to say, let’s hope the police can get a grip of the situation and that the trouble dies down promptly. Something tells us that might not happen any time soon, however.
