Dean Ashton, take a bow… oh wait, mind your back.
Anyone who didn’t tune into Mark Noble’s testimonial on Easter Monday really missed out.
First of all, we saw Adrian score a sensational solo effort after running the length of the pitch, then Dean Ashton blessed us with a truly magical wondergoal.
The former West Ham and England striker who sadly retired at age 26 due to injury, scored easily the most memorable goal of the game, an outrageous overhead kick that saw him immediately start trending on Twitter.

Ashton hit the deck with quite a bit of force and was forced to be subbed off shortly after scoring the contender for goal of the season. He was clutching the small of his back as he hobbled off the pitch. He did manage to find the net again before leaving the pitch though.
