Didier Drogba has had better Saturdays.
Hours after watching former club Chelsea get rolled over at the Emirates, the Ivorian was on the wrong end of the result with his current team on the other side of the Atlantic.
Montreal Impact went down by a single goal against New York Red Bulls – enough for the energy drink-named club to book their spot in the MLS playoffs.
After the match, 38-year-old Drogba was seen confronting a couple of Red Bull fans as he made his way off the field.
While the exchange doesn’t get anywhere near the level of a Cantona at Selhurst Park episode, security had to intervene as Drogba approached the fans.
Aside from the word “hey” being yelled around 3,000 times in the clip below, it’s impossible to make out exactly what else is being said.

Reports later claimed that Drogba had been angered by the ‘disrespect’ shown by the fans, but avoided going into too much detail when asked about the incident.
“They crossed the line a bit, that’s all,” he said.
As all you avid MLS fans will know, the Impact now sit fifth in the Eastern Conference with three games left to play.
