We’re still sceptical but…
Crossovers in any sport rarely go well. Who can forget Michael Jordan’s short-lived baseball career or James Toney’s ill-advised decision to become an MMA fighter at UFC 118? Still though, if the money is right then there’s always a chance of a fight.
While we’re still extremely sceptical of any meeting between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, it seems ‘Money’ is extremely confident that a match-up against ‘The Notorious’ will take place.
Speaking with SHOWTIME Sports, the 26-0 boxer believes a fight will “absolutely” happen, but that any bout between the pair “has to be a boxing match”.
We’re still unconvinced, though. There are just too many reasons why it doesn’t make sense.
