Arsenal’s Gabriel will be counting his lucky stars that he got away with this horrendous foul.
The Brazilian midfielder didn’t live up to his angelic name during Arsenal’s FA Cup quarter-final clash against Watford on Sunday.
Gabriel was lucky to stay on the pitch after he committed an atrocious tackle on Troy Deeney in the first half. The incident happened when a 50/50 ball led to both players sliding to contest it.
But Gabriel went in with two feet, off the ground and with his studs up.
Referee Andre Marriner stood straight in front of the tackle as Gabriel slammed his studs into Deeney’s legs, but the official decided to let play continue without punishing Gabriel or even awarding a foul.

Why is anyone surprised that the ref didn't send Gabriel off? I mean the refs have been consistent this season……. . consistently shit.
