If looks could kill.
Graeme Souness is not a man to be trifled with, and you certainly wouldn’t want to piss him off. He made a career of being the hard man of British football, and happily went about making ‘tackles’ like this without a care in the world…
Since then however he has clearly mellowed into his role as veteran television pundit. Always outspoken, always honest, but professional and considered with it. However, you just know the old Souness is still there, seething under the surface.
During Sky’s coverage of Manchester City’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal, that inner-Souness was almost summoned to the fore by an abrupt interruption. All credit must go to AnfieldInsider for the spot and perfect musical accompaniment.
As Gary Neville interjects to cut off his colleague prematurely, the ex-Liverpool man goes into shut down, not breathing a word. But his miffed expression says it all. Scored with some suitable music, it is both hilarious and very very scary.
Next time, we’d definitely let him have his say…
