Jack Grealish simply can’t put a run of momentum together.
He’ll have a solid game or two and then all of a sudden his progress is stalled by a stupid decision he makes off the pitch.
But the latest poor choice that the Aston Villa playmaker made actually took place on the field as Grealish has been hit with a three match ban for violent conduct.
On Tuesday evening, the FA confirmed that they would be punishing the 21-year-old for the below stamp on Conor Coady in the 1-1 draw with Wolves on Saturday.

The ban will take immediate effect, making Grealish unavailable for selection for Villa’s trip to Reading on Tuesday night as well as Villa’s upcoming games against Fulham and Birmingham City.
It comes just as Grealish looked to have turned a corner. After ending a very high-profile curse at club level, he was one of the stars of the show as England’s Under-21s saw off Bosnia and Herzegovina.
But he has hit a roadblock once more, and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to pick up where he left off.
The suspension comes at the worst possible time, with new manager Steve Bruce preparing to work out his best starting XI after taking over from Roberto di Matteo. If things click before Grealish returns, he might have his work cut out.
