It’s not unfair to say that if the former Liverpool manager tried a trick like this it would have seemed like a forced attempt to endear himself to fans, and he would be slaughtered on social media.
But when current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wears a Beatles T-shirt to a press conference it’s seen as just another example of how in touch the German is with the city, and how he’s really just a normal bloke.
Klopp arrived for Friday morning’s press conference, ahead of Liverpool’s game against Southampton, sporting a t-shirt of the city’s most famous musical act.
While it’s just another example of the German’s effortless charm, it also helps that Liverpool overcame Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday night.
