It must be awkward to be a club representative at one of these draws.
If your club is pitted against a perceived weaker team it would lack class to be sitting with a grin as the camera pans to you. By the same token, it’s probably not a good idea to look too glum if you’re handed a tough draw.
However, Txiki Begiristain couldn’t hide his emotions as Manchester City drew Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The City director looked p***** off as the Premier League side were pitted against PSG.
The Parisians comfortably progressed at the expense of Chelsea in the previous round, wrapped up Ligue 1 earlier this month and look like genuine contenders for the Champions League title.
But cheer up, Txiki, at least you didn’t draw Bayern Munich, and soon-to-be City manager Pep Guardiola.
That would’ve been pretty awkward, and arguably a tougher tie.
Man City didn't look too happy to get PSG.😂 #ECL pic.twitter.com/zOahwpJhEC
