If the cameras weren’t on, that slap from Roy might have been a lot firmer.
Wales’ Euro 2016 journey came to an end last night after a 2-0 defeat to a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired Portugal in the semi-final.
Though it will be a tough one for Welsh fans to absorb immediately, there are a huge number of positives to take from what was their best ever performance in a major tournament.
On the ITV panel for the game, Ryan Giggs was immediately looking forward to the future prospects for his home country in the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, getting in a nice dig at Ireland assistant manager and former team-mate Roy Keane while he was at it.
Roy, to be fair to him, took it well with a friendly slap to Giggs’ thighs, but we’re sure he had a stern word once the cameras stopped rolling.
