The lovely moment David Beckham is subbed off for his son (Video)

No pressure, Brooklyn

JOE

What a superb father and son moment.

David Beckham was subbed off for his son Brooklyn in today’s Unicef ‘Match for Children’ charity game at Old Trafford.

Beckham senior, who earlier set up his former Manchester United teammate Paul Scholes with a trademark cross, made way for his 16-year-old son late in the second-half of the game between a Great Britain & Ireland XI and a World XI of football legends.

The sides were managed by Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti respectively, and featured greats of the world game.

The moment when Beckham made way for his son will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come in the Beckham household…

And they were soon on the pitch together, after David replaced the injured Sol Campbell.

Brooklyn had been part of Arsenal’s academy, however he failed to gain a professional contract. He has played with his dad, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and wore the famous number seven jersey at Old Trafford though.

The match ended 3-1 to the Great Britain & Ireland, and all proceeds from the game will go to charity.
