Superb tennis.
Swiss star Stan Wawrinka claimed his third grand slam title and he did it in impressive fashion, dispatching world number one Novak Djokovic in a 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, 6-3 victory.
In a match that lasted just under four hours, the spectators at Arthur Ashe were treated to some truly remarkable tennis as the heat and humidity required Djokovic to twice call his trainer in the final set.
The Swiss star had won just four of 23 previous matches against Djokovic prior to the final, but his win now means that Wawrinka has won all three of the Grand Slam finals he has played in.
There were some truly astonishing rallies of attack and counter-attack during the match, none better than this one during the first set tiebreak.
Some people have even referred to this 21-shot rally as one of the all-time great points.

A standing ovation after an electrifying 19-shot rally. Wawrinka wins the point but Djokovic still up a mini break in the 1st set tiebreak.
