Team Alpha Male stud Cody Garbrandt feels he’s done enough to earn a title shot, but a certain prospect killer wants him first.
How do you follow up a stunning first round finish? Well, by doing the exact same thing again, of course.
Undefeated bantamweight rising star thrust himself even further into the 135 lb title frame at UFC 202 by starching veteran Japanese fighter Takeyu Mizugaki inside one round.
Garbrandt extended his pristine professional record to 10-0 sending Mizugaki to the canvas with a heavy right before hammering him with strikes on the ground until the referee had seen enough and ended the fight with 48 seconds left in the openeing stanza.
Wow!! @Cody_NoLove has just put all bantamweights on notice at #UFC202!! Again! https://t.co/v9M77B2bd5

After the fight, Garbrandt campaigned for a shot against current bantamweight king Dominick Cruz on the New Year’s Eve card. However, Bryan Carraway, who’s coming off a great win over another prospect by the name of Aljimain Sterling wants a crack at No Love first.
Meanwhile, I'm told Team Caraway has reached out to the UFC brass asking for Cody Garbrandt next. The plot thickens.
