Watch Viktor Troicki completely lose it during Wimbledon meltdown

Shocking

Simon Lloyd

Keep your hair on, mate.

If you’re looking for something to take your mind off England’s poor showing at the Euros then perhaps Wimbledon is the thing for you?

Maybe the atmosphere’s not quite the same as it is at the football but hey – it’s unlikely any of the spectators will end up throwing bottles and patio furniture at each other before getting tear-gassed  by riot police.

Occasionally, you also get moments like this – a player completely losing his rag over what he perceives to be a wrong decision.

In this instance, it’s Serbian player Viktor Troicki. A break down in the deciding set against Spaniard Albert-Ramos Vinolas, poor Viktor thought he’d earned himself the opportunity to break back against his opponent. The problem was, the umpire didn’t see it the same way, awarding Vinolas the point – leaving Vinolas one point away from victory.

As you’ll see below, the umpire’s decision sparked a spectacular tantrum, snatching a tennis ball from a ball boy to help illustrate that he had been wronged. When the umpire refused to look at it, he described him as “the worst umpire ever” and smashed the ball out of the court.

Unfortunately for Viktor, he wasn’t the victor (see what we did there?). In the end, his Spanish opponent sealed the final set 6-3 by winning the match point. Troicki’s protests continued then, too.

Honestly… it’s enough to make anyone choke on their strawberries and cream.
