But the England striker found himself back in a Toffees shirt for the first time in a while, representing his former club in Duncan Ferguson’s testimonial.

Both former Everton strikers were on the bench for the match against Villarreal, with Roberto Martinez starting with a line-up which won’t be too different to the starting XI for the club’s Premier League opener at home to Watford.
They lost the game 2-1, but youngster Tyias Browning channeled his inner Big Dunc to find the net.
