Wayne Rooney welcomed his third child into the world on Sunday night.
Despite Manchester United’s defeat to Southampton on Saturday, the arrival of the newest Rooney will make this a weekend to remember for the England captain.
Rooney informed fans of the his son’s birth on Twitter with a simple message.
Our gorgeous little boy arrived today.
Kit Joseph Rooney. 8Ib 1oz.

While many sent their good wishes for the new baby, others took note of the unusual name the Rooneys had opted for.
