Conor McGregor has always been full of surprises, but this might be a little too far.
The Notorious is currently getting ready for his UFC 200 re-match with Nate Diaz, as he looks to avenge the first defeat of his UFC career.
McGregor has taken the UFC world by storm, and his profile had grown so large by the beginning of this year that he was aiming to become the first dual-weight champion in the promotion’s history.
But the Irishman has made us all a little worried after seemingly announcing his retirement on Twitter on Tuesday night.
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.

There’s been no proper confirmation of the news anywhere else, so we’re happy to believe for now that it’s just some expert trolling by either McGregor himself or someone with access to his phone.
But that hasn’t stopped fans from worrying.
