There’s plenty of excitement about West Ham teenager Reece Oxford.
Having made a few appearances earlier in the season, most notably in an away victory at Arsenal in the season’s opening weekend, it was expected that the 17-year-old would be loaned out in this transfer window in a bid to gain more first team experience.
Charlton Athletic appeared to be set to land a temporary deal for him, but it now appears it’s fallen through.
Why? Well, according to reports, Charlton’s head coach Jose Riga is one of few within the game that apparently knows very little about the talented youngster. In fact, it’s claimed by the Mirror that he doesn’t actually know who he is.
We’re sure there’ll be plenty of other teams willing to take him in a similar deal.
