There are shock moves, and then there are shock moves.
Theo Walcott joining Barcelona from Arsenal would possibly be even more surprising than when former Celtic player Mo Johnson joined Rangers back in 1989.
Spanish media outlet AS claim the Catalan giants are plotting a January move for the England winger.
At this point you may be asking why would a team containing Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar want to add Walcott to their ranks, and AS claim its because Rafinha sustained a serious injury in the Champions League draw against Roma.
And, despite being able to blood new signing Arda Turan in January, Barca’s thoughts have apparently turned to Walcott.
A potential stumbling block to the move may be that Walcott only recently signed a new four deal with the Gunners, and that he’s seemingly not of the quality required to play for the best team in Europe.
Twitter users were sceptical…
@English_AS he wont even make our B team

Just read that #Barça might be interested in signing Arsenal's Theo Walcott to replace injured Rafinha. Wow. Enough twitter for today.
