Usually when footballers are given free rein over the design of a pair of football boots, the results are hideous.
This point was illustrated not so long ago by Mario Balotelli, who in classic Mario Balotelli style decided to stick a mohawk on a pair of boots he’d designed for kids.
With Yannick Bolasie and his teammates taking on Watford at Wembley on Sunday, the Crystal Palace winger also opted to put his own spin on his footwear in recent weeks.
Shunning the opportunity to base his design on a flamboyant hairstyle, MOTD Magazine claims that Bolasie’s design charts the journey from his mum’s house to Wembley Stadium.

Although he didn’t appear to be wearing his design under the Wembley arch on Sunday, victory for Palace over Watford means he’ll have the opportunity to show them off in the final against Manchester United next month.
