If you were asked to describe a Euro 2016 footballer as “Hollywood”, it’d be tough to look past Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Sweden striker has never been one for self-deprecation, and his latest performance is no exception.
Zlatan has been subtly teasing a move to Manchester United, but could he be gearing up for a career in film when he hangs up his boots.
The 34-year-old’s latest performance comes in an advert for Swedish car company Volvo, and the ad couldn’t be more Zlatan if it tried.
It features him shirtless in what we assume is his apartment, watching videos of himself scoring for Inter, PSG and Sweden – it’s so natural that we’re tempted to think it’s what he would have been doing anyway, even if the cameras weren’t there.
The Rocky-style kickboxing training that follows? He definitely does that on a day-t0-day basis. In fact, have you stopped to consider his entire career might just have been one long piece of method acting?
We just hope for Zlatan’s sake that he doesn’t really have to pack his own kit before playing for his country. Then again, perhaps he makes sure that’s the way it goes down because he doesn’t trust anyone else to touch his things.
