Christmas is here, in September?
If you thought supermarkets stocking Christmas goodies during September was bad, then you might want to avert your eyes for this story.
UK viewers will now have the pleasure of a channel dedicated completely to Christmas movies, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, all the way into January 2022.
The channel will air some of the biggest Christmas hits, including Home Alone, The Polar Express and Elf. As well as the iconic films most people know every word to, the channel will also premiere exclusive specials like A Christmas Melody, starring Mariah Carey and Just In Time For Christmas featuring Christopher Lloyd.
On Strike For Christmas, The Christmas Sitters, Beaus of Holly, Call Me Claus with Whoopi Goldberg, A Husband for Christmas, and Crazy for Christmas will also debut on the new channel.
It will be free to air and available for people to view on Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat, though it will temporarily be replacing GREAT! Movies classic for the festive season. The channel will run from run from September 22 to January 4, 2022.
Asda is also getting in on Christmas early. Courtesy of Cadbury, new White Chocolate Jingly Bells will be available from this week.
The white chocolate treats come individually wrapped in a sharing bag priced at £1, but let’s be honest, no one is going to share these and at this point, it’s just offensive to put ‘sharing bag’ on the packaging.
