Cavani a laugh
Manchester United are adamant that Angel Di Maria is not for sale. Angel Di Maria keeps stating he is staying at Manchester United. No one seems to believe either.
The latest rumour, courtesy of the Star, is that the Old Trafford club are willing to use the Argentine as bait to secure Paris St-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
What’s wrong with people. It’s almost like footballers and football clubs can’t be taken on face value anymore…
Coleman is mustard
Another player linked to United, by the Sun, is Everton and Republic of Ireland running man, Seamus Coleman.
Louis van Gaal is after a specialist right-back to replace stand-in Antonio Valencia, and Rafael da Silva clearly ran over the Dutchman’s cat at some point.
Coleman fits the bill in terms of age, stamina, quality and attacking threat, but Everton will be loathed to forego the right side of their team.
City bank on Poggy
Manchester City’s pursuit of Paul Pogba shows no sign of abating and they seem convinced the deal is a goer.
The Mirror report that the Citizens are more than happy to meet both Juventus’ valuation and the player’s wage demands.
So what’s stopping them? Apparently they want the Frenchman to make it clear to Juve that he wants out.
