According to reports coming from Germany on Monday night, a lorry has crashed into shoppers at a Christmas market in Berlin, sparking fears of a terrorist attack.
However, a tragic accident has not been ruled out, with reports stating several people have died and a number of people have been injured.
At the time of writing, the Associated Press list the death toll at nine, with many more suffering injuries in the incident.

A number of local sources – the Berliner Zeitung newspaper and the Berliner Morgenpost – report that the truck crashed into the market close to Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
Reuters cites local police sources, who have reportedly claimed ‘first indications were that the incident was an attack.
